Kristen lives in Leduc with her handsome English hubby Shaun, her beautiful talented daughter Blaire, her spirited super athlete Maddox, and her sweet little step-daughter Molly, who bring her so much joy, happiness and constant excitement.
She is originally from the east coast and moved to Edmonton where she graduated from Grant MacEwan University with a Business Degree and continued on for a Supply Chain designation and a certificate from SAIT in Petroleum Technology.
Opening Korked U-Vin has been a great adventure with fulfilment, success, and opportunities to become integrated into the Leduc community. They have enjoyed meeting so many great community members through events, expos, and volunteering and are truly thankful to be a part of such a great tight knit community.
They have enjoyed the drive, the hard work, and of course the wine! They are excited to continue to share their passion for wine, wine making and to grow the business throughout Alberta!
Kristen Kavanagh

Karla is originally from BC but has resided in Alberta for 20 years now. She has thoroughly enjoyed a life raising her now teen daughters while helping to run multiple oilfield companies and dabble in many other small business ventures.
March of 2019 Karla and Kristen opened Korked U-Vin Ltd. in Leduc Alberta as the 5th Ferment on Premise open in the province under the new regulations.
Now, years later, our drive and perseverance has helped us through start up, a pandemic and many other road blocks as a new business. Holding on to the vision of continuous growth and best in the industry as a modern vintner has kept her motivation high.

Karla enjoys all aspects of the winemaking biz, from engaging with all of her amazing customers to the winemaking process behind the scenes, it has all been a great experience.
